My name is Nicole Hawkesford, and I am a professional French/English translator based in North Cornwall.

My passion for languages emerged at a young age and since then, in addition to French and Spanish, I have variously studied Russian, Greek, Polish and Chinese!

However, it takes many years to become a professional translator, but I was fortunate enough to attend French/English bilingual schools. As a result, I have been studying French for over 15 years now – but since languages evolve like everything else, lifelong learning will mean I’ll be studying it for many years to come no doubt.

After graduating with 1st class honours in 2010, I had already known for at least a year that I wanted a career in languages as a translator. Thus Awendan Translation Services was born; I offer professional and personal translation services for tourism businesses, websites, iOS and app developers and more.
